Variant ladder starting ex-showroom prices, our pick in orange
MG has launched a new Indulge Edition of the Windsor EV, priced at ₹17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Three things to know before you look at it:
- It is an Essence with extras. It is based on the Essence variant and costs about ₹85,000 more. The battery and range are exactly the same.
- A much bigger battery costs almost the same. The Exclusive Pro, with the bigger battery, costs ₹18.04 lakh. That is only ₹5,000 more than the Indulge, for 117 km more claimed range.
- It is a limited edition. MG says over 80,000 families have bought the Windsor in two years, and the Indulge celebrates that.
Below, we look at what the ₹85,000 buys, and which Windsor makes the most sense for you.
MG Windsor EV price list
| Variant | Battery | Claimed range | Price | With BaaS |

Ex-showroom, Delhi, October 2026. Range is MG’s claimed figure (MIDC); real-world range will be lower. BaaS (Battery as a Service) means you pay less for the car and rent the battery per kilometre; terms depend on the finance company. Check the latest prices with your dealer.
The Indulge is only available with the smaller 38 kWh battery.
The basics (Indulge)
- Size: 4295 mm long, with a 2700 mm wheelbase and 186 mm of ground clearance.

- Motor: 136 PS and 200 Nm, automatic.
- Battery: 38 kWh, with a claimed range of 332 km.
- Charging: DC fast charging (up to 45 kW) takes about 45 minutes from 20 to 80%. At home, the 7.4 kW AC charger takes about 7 hours from 10 to 100%. A 3.3 kW portable cable is also included.
- Battery warranty: lifetime, for the first owner (subject to MG’s terms).
What the ₹85,000 gets you
Over the Essence, the Indulge costs about ₹85,000 more, which is about ₹1,800 more per month on a 5-year loan at 9%.
Outside:
- A new Shadow Gold colour with a black roof
- Black 18-inch alloy wheels and black mirrors
- Indulge badges
Inside:
- Urban Tan and black leatherette seats, with gold highlights
- A 15.6-inch drop-down screen for the rear seat, which MG calls the Privé screen and says is a first in the segment. It is a dealer-fitted accessory that comes included with the Indulge.
- Neck and square cushions with “Indulge” embroidery
Everything else is the same as the Essence: the 15.6-inch front touchscreen, 360-degree camera, Infinity View glass roof, ventilated front seats, 9 Infinity speakers, 256-colour ambient lighting, and rear seats that recline up to 135 degrees. Safety includes six airbags, ESP, hill hold, hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring and disc brakes on all four wheels.
What it does not have: ADAS.
MG also offers an optional accessory pack (chrome grille and body trim, 3D mats, rear window sunshades and a leather key cover), but had not announced its price at the time of writing.
Indulge or Exclusive Pro? Two very different cars for ₹5,000
| Windsor Indulge | Windsor Exclusive Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | ₹17.99 lakh | ₹18.04 lakh |
| Battery | 38 kWh | 52.9 kWh |
| Claimed range | 332 km | 449 km |
| Fast charging | Standard | Slightly faster |
| Shadow Gold look, rear drop-down screen | ✓ | ✗ |
| Glass roof, ventilated seats, ambient lights | ✓ | ✗ |
On one side is luxury; on the other, range. And remember: on an EV, range can’t be added later the way you might add an accessory.
Which one should you buy?
- Mostly city driving, and your family sits in the back: the Indulge. The gold look and the rear screen are only available here.
- You often drive on highways: the Exclusive Pro. Only ₹5,000 more, for 117 km more claimed range.
- You don’t need the gold colour or the rear screen: the Essence (₹17.15 lakh). Same battery, same features, and you save ₹85,000. This is our pick for most buyers.
A note on BaaS: if you buy on battery rental, the Indulge costs ₹13.14 lakh plus ₹4.30 per km, while the Essence costs ₹12.29 lakh plus ₹3.99 per km. The Indulge’s battery rent per kilometre is higher, so the gap grows the more you drive.
