Tata Aeris prices from ₹5.30 lakh to ₹8.20 lakh. Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative and Accomplished explained: what each price jump gets you, petrol vs CNG, and our pick.
Variant ladder starting ex-showroom prices, our pick in orange
Tata says the new Aeris is here to “defeat boring”. But you’re not buying a slogan. You’re choosing between five variants, petrol or CNG, manual or automatic (AMT), with petrol prices from ₹5.30 lakh to ₹8.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Below, we look at what each price jump gets you, and which variant we would buy.
Tata Aeris price list
| Variant | Starting price | Jump from the variant below |
|---|---|---|
| Smart | ₹5.30 lakh | – |
| Pure | ₹6.15 lakh | +₹85,000 |
| Pure+ | ₹6.75 lakh | +₹60,000 |
| Creative | ₹7.50 lakh | +₹75,000 |
| Accomplished | ₹8.20 lakh | +₹70,000 |
Starting prices, ex-showroom (October 2026), for the petrol manual. AMT and CNG versions cost more; check those prices with your dealer.
An interesting fact: the Pure+ sits exactly in the middle of the range. It is ₹1.45 lakh above the Smart and ₹1.45 lakh below the Accomplished.
The basics
- Size: a sub-4-metre car, 3995 mm long, 1684 mm wide and 1532 mm tall, with a 2450 mm wheelbase.
- Ground clearance: 170 mm.
- Boot: 419 litres on the petrol.
- Engine: one engine, the 1.2 litre, 3-cylinder Revotron. It makes 86 PS and 113 Nm on petrol and 75.5 PS and 96.5 Nm on CNG.
- Gearbox: a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT with either fuel.
- Warranty: 3 years or 1 lakh km on every Aeris.
A big plus: CNG with an AMT is available on every variant except the base Smart. Automatic CNG is still rare in this segment. The Smart is manual only, so if you want an automatic, start with the Pure.
Variant by variant
The monthly figures below are the extra EMI for each step, assuming a 5-year car loan at 9% interest (every ₹1 lakh adds about ₹2,075 a month).
1. Smart: ₹5.30 lakh
This is not a bare-bones base variant.
What you get: strong safety from day one, with six airbags, ISOFIX, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors. It also has a two-spoke steering wheel, a digital driver display, connected LED tail lamps and front seats with thigh support.
What you miss: no music system at all, 14-inch steel wheels, manual AC, only three colours and no automatic.
Stop here if: you are buying for a fleet or your budget is very tight. For a family, it’s quite basic.
2. Pure: +₹85,000 (about ₹1,760 more per month)
In rupees, this is the biggest jump in the line-up.
What it adds: Bluetooth audio with 2 speakers and steering controls (a “bring your own device” setup, so there’s no touchscreen), all four power windows, electric mirrors, a rear defogger, a height-adjustable driver seat, automatic door locks, central locking, a day/night inside mirror, wheel covers, every colour, and the AMT option.
Our view: nothing exciting, but these are things you would miss every single day.
3. Pure+: +₹60,000 (about ₹1,250 more per month)
This is the smallest jump in the line-up, and the biggest upgrade in features.
What it adds:
- Tech: a touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 4 speakers, a shark-fin antenna and a 65 W fast charger.
- Safety: ESP with traction control, hill hold, tyre pressure monitoring and an HD reverse camera.
- Comfort: rear AC vents, front and rear armrests, and cruise control.
- Wheels: 15-inch wheels on the petrol, 14-inch on CNG.
The most important point: ESP and hill hold only start from the Pure+. In our view, these are safety essentials, not luxuries.
One catch: cruise control is not available on the CNG AMT.
Stop here if: you want the best value Aeris. This is our pick.
4. Creative: +₹75,000 (about ₹1,560 more per month)
The feature-loaded variant.
What it adds: a 360-degree camera and a blind view monitor (it shows a camera view when you indicate), a bigger 26 cm (10.25-inch) touchscreen, 6 speakers, LED headlamps with DRLs, infinity connected tail lamps, automatic climate control, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry with push-button start, auto-folding mirrors, chrome door handles, a cooled glove box, and 15-inch alloy wheels (petrol only).
Our view: the 360-degree camera and blind view monitor are genuinely useful in a crowded city. The rest is nice to have.
Climb here if: you park in tight spots in the city every day.
5. Accomplished: +₹70,000 (about ₹1,450 more per month)
What it adds: leatherette seats, ventilated front seats, a built-in dashcam, a wireless charger, LED fog lamps, adjustable front headrests, a dual-tone black roof, and iRA connected-car features (free for the first year only, then paid).
Our view: ventilated seats are wonderful in summer, and a dashcam helps with insurance claims. The rest is luxury.
Climb here if: you want everything.

Which price jump is worth it?
We counted the features in each step that make the car safer or that you would miss every day. This is our own judgement.
| Upgrade | Price jump | Essentials added | Cost per essential |
|---|---|---|---|
| Smart → Pure | ₹85,000 | 8 | ₹10,625 |
| Pure → Pure+ | ₹60,000 | 8 | ₹7,500 |
| Pure+ → Creative | ₹75,000 | 2 | ₹37,500 |
| Creative → Accomplished | ₹70,000 | 2 | ₹35,000 |
The Pure+ step gives you the most for your money by far. After that, you are mostly paying for convenience and a premium feel.
Petrol or CNG?
The CNG version makes about 10 PS and 16.5 Nm less. But Tata uses a twin-cylinder setup under the boot floor, so the boot stays usable, and the car starts directly on CNG.
For safety, the CNG system has leak detection (it switches to petrol automatically), thermal incident protection and a fire extinguisher under the co-driver’s seat.
If you drive a lot, the Pure+ CNG AMT is a rare and interesting combination. Just remember that it doesn’t get cruise control.
Our pick: Pure+
₹6.75 lakh (petrol manual).
It is the cheapest Aeris with ESP, hill hold, a reverse camera, rear AC vents and wireless CarPlay. And you can have it with petrol or CNG, manual or automatic.
Quick picks for every buyer:
- Tight budget, but need an automatic: Pure AMT.
- Best all-rounder: Pure+.
- City driver who likes tech: Creative.
- Want everything: Accomplished.
- Smart: only for fleet use or a very tight budget.
